DESIERTO DE LA TATACOA

The Tatacoa Desert is an amazing place to visit in Colombia, and one of its main environmental and tourist attractions. It draws the attention of scientists from various countries who are researching the evolution of the Earth and living organisms. It is the second largest arid zone in Colombia.

 It is located at the entrance of the desert and it has a rocky landscape. In this place, visitors can pick up small rocks and build up a small pyramid. For each rock they place, they can make a wish. Because of this tradition, you can see many stone pyramids that have been made by locals and tourists.
